Zillow: More than 70% of couples argue over real estate
When the calendar moves past Valentine’s Day, it’s back to normal for most couples. And according to a new report from Zillow Research, normal means arguing over home buying or selling. The decision to move is often one of the biggest decisions a couple can make together but a survey conducted by The Harris Poll finds that the choice is often fraught with conflict.

According to the poll, 77 percent of respondents state they argued with their significant other over the home buying process. Similarly, 71 percent said they had a conflict over selling their home. The most common reason for disagreements was over the size or style of a home to buy and the features or deal breakers of a property.

Argument topics for sellers often included whether or not to make repairs or regarding keeping the house clean for showings to potential buyers.

Today, no-point conforming 30-year fixed mortgage rates are averaging 3.5 percent and 15-year rates are near 3.0 percent.
