A panel of experts from online real estate site Zillow have concluded that San Diego is likely to be the hottest home market in California this year. Although home values are expected to grow at a slower rate in 2020, 2.8 percent, a quarter of panelists expected San Diego to our pace the rest of the nation.
The group of 100 economists and housing experts accurately predicted a 3.8 percent increase in home values last year.
The panel did not give a precise prediction of how much median San Diego County home values would rise in 2020.
Today, conforming no-point 30-year fixed mortgage rates are averaging 3.625 percent and 15-year rates are near 3.125 percent.
